Multi Spring Seals

Harbor Seal LOGO .jpg

Multi spring mechanical seals are an extremely common sale for Harbor Seal and can be produced fairly quickly.

The routine sealing success of the multi spring mechanical seal derives from their life span as well as their multi spring configuration which will ensure that pressures exerted from the rotating face are evenly distributed against the seating face, preventing irregular and premature seal failure.

The John Crane type 8 series can handle a majority of applications, but it must yield to the type 9 when chemicals and other corrosive liquids are being processed because it lacks the PTFE wedge technology that the type 9 utilizes. The type 9 can be overkill in many applications, in which case the type 8 series would be a more cost effective and compatible option.

The Flowserve Dura Metallic series VRA/PTO/CRO/RO are an externally mounted, dry-running seals designed for top entry agitator and mixer equipment.
